Dr. Genevieve Jing is a board-certified psychiatrist with experience caring for patients across emergency, inpatient, consultation, and outpatient settings. Prior to joining Radial, she served as an attending psychiatrist within the Mount Sinai Health System in the CPEP and as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her undergraduate studies in Medical Anthropology and Global Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before earning her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency at New York Medical College, where she trained across a broad range of psychiatric settings and patient populations. Her academic work has included research and writing in disaster psychiatry and serious mental illness, including a published review examining psychotic spectrum disorders in the setting of disasters and a textbook chapter on the care of individuals with serious mental illness during disasters.
Dr. Jing has a particular interest in interventional psychiatry and in expanding access to evidence-based treatments beyond traditional medication management. Her approach is thoughtful and collaborative, emphasizing understanding each patient’s experience, what has and has not worked in the past, and developing a treatment plan that makes sense for them.
