
David Khorsandi is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with clinical experience working with adolescents and young adults across a range of treatment settings. He earned his Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Queens College.
David has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, academic and life stressors, relationship challenges, and trauma-related concerns. His clinical work spans outpatient mental health, college counseling, and interventional treatment settings, giving him an adaptable perspective.
David approaches therapy as a structured, collaborative process focused on helping clients develop practical skills and lasting change. He primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and DBT-informed approaches to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional regulation skills, and improve distress tolerance. He works with clients to develop concrete strategies for managing difficult emotions, navigating interpersonal situations more effectively, and creating meaningful behavioral change. His goal is to equip clients with tools they can apply in their daily lives to increase stability, confidence, and overall well-being.
