
Dr. Seth Resnick is a general psychiatrist with a nationally unprecedented combination of board-certified subspecialization in Addiction Medicine, Pain Medicine, and Palliative Medicine. He maintains an active clinical practice and has taken part in research, written journal articles and composed book chapters in these areas and others ranging from borderline personality disorder to schizophrenia. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine. A graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he earned a Distinction in Research, he previously studied English at Williams College, graduating cum laude.Dr. Resnick completed residency at NYU, comprised significantly of training at Bellevue Hospital, and a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Pain and Palliative Care, a distinctive trajectory for his field. He has advanced certification in psychodynamic psychotherapy through Columbia University's Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research and in psychopharmacology through the Neuroscience Education Institute. His broad-based conversance and experience across other psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, ACT, and mind-body approaches such as MBSR and hypnotherapy, continues to inform his comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to patient care.Having developed a career of progressive leadership positions within health systems, Dr. Resnick chose to refocus on clinical care that brought him to service when he began pursuing his interest and work in psychiatry, and joined Radial to pursue and deliver cutting-edge, innovative, quality treatment that it provides.
