Dr. Carlene MacMillan is a dual board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who serves as Radial’s Chief Product Officer. She focuses on building robust technology infrastructure and advocating for improved insurance coverage to expand access to breakthrough psychiatric treatments.
Dr. MacMillan previously served as Chief Medical Officer at Osmind, an electronic health record company, and currently advises multiple healthtech and medical device companies.
She earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from Harvard University, followed by residency and fellowship training at Harvard’s MGH/McLean Hospital.

She actively contributes to the advancement of interventional psychiatry through participation in prospective and post-marketing research for transcranial magnetic stimulation, esketamine and other novel interventions.

Beyond her work in interventional psychiatry, Dr. MacMillan has extensive training in Mentalization Based Treatment, which she applies across individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and team/systems settings. She provides supervision and consultation to colleagues at Radial and internationally.
As a recognized psychiatric futurist, Dr. MacMillan speaks regularly at prestigious conferences ranging from the American Psychiatric Association to SXSW.
She frequently engages with media on topics spanning psychedelic medicine to healthcare technology innovations, helping shape the future of mental health treatment.Her unique combination of clinical expertise, technology leadership, and advocacy positions her at the forefront of transforming psychiatric care delivery and accessibility.
