
Ariel Hurley is a licensed psychotherapist with over 7 years of experience. She holds dual Masters degrees from Columbia University, including a Master of Science degree in Social Work and a Master of Public Health. She works with people experiencing depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, unresolved emotional wounds from childhood, relationship conflict, sexual and intimacy issues, as well as adult survivors of trauma and individuals who identify as LGBTQ+.
Ariel views therapy as a collaborative process with the goal of creating a space for honest reflection, compassionate understanding, and meaningful change with her clients. She sees the therapeutic rapport as a mechanism to assist her clients with reconnecting with themselves and others in a way that fosters safety, balance, and authenticity. She has training in providing cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mentalization based therapy, mindfulness, relapse prevention, psychodynamic therapies, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
